 Taking pictures has been a hobby for a long, long time. But lazing around has been a hobby for even longer. So I never really went out of my way to get them published or to earn a quick buck from them. Most of the pictures I have shot have been to satisfy myself or to safisfy my subjects.
Coming to subjects, most of my victims have been sweet-talked, coaxed, bribed or plainly threatened to pose for me. Any of my friends or acquaintances who happen to wander within a mile of my home tend to get trapped into a photo shoot with me. Then they have to endure hours of torture ... sittings, light adjustments, exposure checks and confounding instructions from me that usually sound like,"Turn your head towards me and simultaneously move your torso away from the camera and then tilt your head down and look directly into my lens and give me ...ATTITUUUUDE!"
And then I keep wondering why people have stopped coming to visit me and why I am not being invited over to my friends' place anymore. So take a look at some of my pictures on this website and do let me know at vivek@avenues.info if my hobby has been worth losing friends over.
